It's amazing how quick it goes from summer to very cool mornings here in Massachusetts. It's only September 1st and it already feels like Fall is coming. I have been seeing everyone coming and going with truck loads of pellets from our local hardware store. Instead of getting depressed about winter and heating this big house I decided to think about Fall and all the things I love about it.
First and foremost Fall means Football. I absolutely love Football season and I am a die hard New England Patriots fan. You either love us or you hate us because we win Superbowls, FACT! Football gives life to Sunday Funday and I get together with my guy friends for every game. We all make a bunch of food, have some beers and it's one of my most favorite Fall traditions. Fall also means soccer which my kids both play. It's not a sport that I coach so I get to just sit and enjoy watching my kids play.
Speaking of beer and how much I love it, LOL. What is better than a beer with a caramel cinnamon rim on a cool fall afternoon? There is nothing so don't even try to think of something. Whether it be OctoberFest or a Shipyard Pumpkinhead add a cinnamon rim and it's like having dessert but so much better.
Obviously Fall means pumpkins and mums which I love to decorate with. I am actually not a pumpkin fan when it comes to eating it though. I don't like pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins or anything like that however I love pumpkin spice coffee. I treat myself to one of those at least once a week in the Fall. I am the one that is super excited when I see pumpkin coffee back on the menu in the Dunkin Donuts line.
Lastly, there is something so cozy about Fall weather and wrapping up with a blanket and sitting outside on cool nights. My son started a fire last night for us and that is exactly what we did. Fall brings comfy yoga pants, hooded sweatshirts and fuzzy socks. Who doesn't love a great pair of fuzzy socks!
I really hope we get at least two months of Fall weather before we jump into Winter. Praying Hurricane Dorian doesn't cause too much havoc to the people in Florida and down South. Have a fabulous Sunday!
