Did ya'll know that the internet turned a whopping 50 this week? On October 29, 1969 the internet was beautifully brought to this world and WOW has it come a long way. I bet most people don't know that it was born with a single login from a computer terminal at UCLA in Los Angeles, CA to the Stanford Research Institute in the Bay Area. There is actually a piece of paper where they recorded everything and saved it to this day.
If you stop and think for a few minutes what the world today would be like without internet, that's a pretty crazy thought. I often hear people say the internet is ruining the world but let's be honest it's the rotten people out there doing that. For one I wouldn't have a job in the Affiliate Marketing Industry seeing as I am on the internet and social media all day long doing business. So essentially the internet is paying my bills. Take a look at this history timeline above. How about life without email? I alone have five email accounts which can certainly be obnoxious but it's such a great way to communicate. Last, I know for a fact I couldn't survive without Google. At least 50+ times a day I am googling something work related. My kids ask for help on a project we google it, everyone does! There is just an endless train of knowledge and I personally learn something new every day. So hey...let's not abuse the internet but embrace it, especially during it's birthday week!
Google that my friends! Have a wonderful weekend.
