Did you ever wonder why weekends are so short? My first look at the 4:00am alarm clock this morning certainly reminded me how short they are but had to prepare for a busy week ahead.

I was lucky enough yesterday to squeeze a few hours into my day and have a late lunch with my bestie. She is very close to the lead singer of The Kings a local band established in 2008...so off we went to Connecticut to hear them play. This is just the second time I have heard the full band live and wish I had more than two hours to listen to them all day. The lead singer Melissa Carreira is absolutely amazing with a killer voice and joined with her brother Jeff King there isn't any genre they don't do. They play such a variety of music and in their set list there is something for everyone. My favorite song of the afternoon was "Son of a Preacher Man", not anyone can sing that jam we even had to get up and dance! Melissa and Jeff also do shows with just the two of them acoustic style. I have also been lucky enough to hear that a few times and they even play Springsteen! Hoping I can catch them at MGM this month. I highly suggest following them on Facebook and seeing them this summer!

Can you imagine life without music? My go to is Springsteen, Country, Rock & Roll and even some Rap every now and again. There are a lot of songs that remind people of me. I guess when I like a song I need the world to know it! Nothing like singing and dancing life away especially surrounded by good friends.
