Well where else would I be on a rainy Sunday night but celebrating Francesco's 32nd Anniversary with my BFF. Owned and operated by the Ferrentino Family some of the best humans I am lucky enough to have in my life.
If you think about 32 years of running a restaurant and the hard work that goes into that...WOW...that is quite the accomplishment. I have actually never worked in a restaurant, no bartending, waitressing or hosting so I never really knew much about the business. Until I had major back surgery in my early twenties and I was so bored being home recouping my BFF Cathy Ferrentino would pick me up and I would go to work with her for the day and hang out in the kitchen. I have never seen someone work so hard in my life. From making the sauce to preparing eggplant I had a new meaning of what it was like to work a 12 hour day on my feet. A restaurant is 7 days a week just about 24 hours a day. Francesco's rarely ever closes even for holidays and their busiest time of year is during the Brimfield flea markets. I have eaten here a million times and always have the best meals. Their portion sizes are enough to feed me for a week and then some. My most favorite dish here is the haddock francaise and fettuccine alfredo but I haven't had that in a while because I would need to run 20 miles to burn off the calories. Francesco's also caters parties and they make a mean pizza, even when it's my friend Alfonso making them! Francesco's has also sponsored and donated towards many...actually all of the fundraisers in Monson I have run in the past so a huge THANK YOU to them for their generosity. Also fun fact I wouldn't recommend ever pissing any of them off unless you are sure they are on your side!
I am very grateful to know the Ferrentino's and if you want a delicious Italian meal I highly recommend you go there. Tell them Sara sent you! Visit their website for the menu and hours of operation. Congratulations on 32 years Francesco's and Happy Father's Day to all you amazing Dad's out there especially my Dad and Frank and Alfonso Ferrentino!
